How To Recognize Progress in Meditation

If you can meditate before you go to sleep on all the things you know need to change, and feel unshakable in your certainty that you can change them, and then feel just as certain about that change the next day, then you have attained a certain level of freedom from your senses. Until then, you are not free. Progress remains an idea. But thoughts are the roots of action. So you are on the right track.
